The Goal Of Our OAW Welding Course
The Goal Of Our OAW Welding Course
The goal of the Oxy-Acetylene Welding Mastery Course is to develop confident, skilled welders who can safely and effectively use OAW for welding, cutting, and brazing applications. This course is designed to take students beyond the basics—building strong torch control, heat management, joint preparation, and troubleshooting skills through structured lessons and hands-on practice. By the end of the program, students will be able to produce clean, reliable welds, understand flame chemistry, execute precision cuts, and complete a full capstone project that demonstrates true craftsmanship and professional-level competency.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the OAW welding course differ from the Welding Fundamentals course?
The OAW Welding Online Course focuses specifically on oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, and brazing. It provides in-depth training on torch setup, flame control, troubleshooting, and multi-process project work. The Welding Fundamentals Course, on the other hand, introduces multiple welding processes at a beginner level and is designed for learners who want a broad foundation before selecting a specialty.
How long does the OAW welding course take to complete?
Most students complete the OAW Welding Online Course in 7–15 hours, depending on their pace, comfort level, and the time they dedicate to the final capstone project.
Do I get a certificate when I finish the OAW course?
Yes. When you complete all lessons, pass the final knowledge check, and submit your capstone project, you will receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing your understanding and competency in OAW welding, cutting, and brazing.
Do I need prior experience to take the OAW welding course?
This is an intermediate-to-advanced level course. You should already understand the basics of welding — including safety, joint types, puddle behavior, and filler rod use. Students who have completed the Welding Fundamentals Course or have prior hands-on welding experience will be fully prepared.
Can I complete the OAW welding course with a friend?
Yes! You are welcome to learn and practice with a friend. However, each person must register separately, complete the work independently, and submit their own capstone project in order to earn a personal certificate.
